How to Sell on Aisland Agora
Aisland Agora is a decentralised blockchain based marketplace where vendors sell products and transactions take place in cryptocurrencies. Aisland Agora supports all major cryptocurrencies on the marketplace. Aisland Agora is built on a specialised blockchain having marketplace and smart contract features intrinsic to it.
To start selling you can "Signup" and start adding your product. You can publish anything is legal in your country and the country of buyers.
It's a peer-2-peer market and you are directly responsible for what you sell.
It's not necessary to be a registered company for selling, any individual, freelancer and small artisan is welcome.
The product will be immediately visible.By the way, community moderators will review your products and if something looks wrong they will raise a red flag.
The first flag will put your product in "hidden" status.
The product will be excluded from the market place once multiple community moderators has flagged it as illegal.
You can always appeal for a review from a moderator panel.
Peer-to-Peer Marketplace
Aisland Agora is a marketplace where merchants can register as vendors and consumers can purchase products or services from these vendors. Aisland Agora is basically a platform that connects vendors and consumers. We connect supply with demand. In other words, people who sell products and services are connected to people who want to buy those products and services. In a way Aisland Agora marketplace is similar to Alibaba, Amazon, eBay or UpWork; the difference being Aisland Agora is a new-age decentralized blockchain based marketplace where transactions happen in cryptocurrencies. Consumers pay for products and services using cryptocurrencies.
Payments
Aisland Agora is a crypto first marketplace and business transactions in cryptocurrencies is a preferred form of payment on the marketplace. However, the marketplace vendors can also provide an optional fiat currency payment feature which would be accepted through debit and credit cards. Payments to the vendors are released seven days post product delivery unless there are any open complaints against the sale.
Payments by buyers are put into escrow accounts until the buyer receives the product or service from the seller and is satisfied with it. Payment from escrow is then automatically deposited to the seller’s account.
Buyer can pay by credit card, their payment is automatically converted in crypto currency.
No Middlemen
There are no middlemen on Aisland Agora marketplace and this is a good news. There are impartial fixed business rules on Aisland Agora which executed in form of smart contracts. Smart contracts are not unreliable like middlemen and rules are fixed and cannot be changed once buyers and sellers accept and execute the smart contract. The rules governing Aisland Agora marketplace are transparent and visible for everyone.
Aisland Agora receives 2% of the transactions from the seller.
1% is distributed to Governance token holders and 1% is used for developing and keeping up the infrastructure.
